Thomas Sunesson, Bandwidth

Thomas joined Bandwidth in January of 2022 and is now Bandwidth’s Global Regulatory Policy Attorney, based out of London. At Bandwidth, Thomas focuses on creating and nurturing effective relationships with industry players, forums and regulatory authorities in the wide regulatory field affecting global and cross border voice and messaging communications. Particular interests in this field include understanding and shaping the regulatory landscapes in a technologically and use changing market and to establish pro-competitive forces that also deliver real societal benefits.

Born in Sweden in 1971 but has lived across the globe for much of his life though settled in London since 30 years. Main education includes LLB(Hons) and LLM(Dist) in UK and EU law, respectively. Prior to joining Bandwidth, Thomas spent 22 years with BT. The main part of this period, Thomas spent in various regulatory departments, ranging from Regulatory Finance to opening up new countries for BTs corporate division.

Thomas joined CCUK Council in 2025.
