Lee Turner, Gamma

Having worked in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years, my initial exposure to telecoms was as operations director for a reseller of MCI WorldCom in Southern Africa. Prior to joining Gamma I spent 10 years with TalkTalk, joining when it was still known as Opal Telecom, and one my first projects was instigating the formation of the industry engagement team. During this time I represented TalkTalk on the IWF funding council, serving as vice-chair for two years in addition to being extensively involved with industry forums covering everything from Ethernet through to number porting. In July 2016 I joined Gamma and my remit is primarily in the regulatory and industry engagement areas. I represent Gamma on both the ISPA and Digital Policy Alliance councils.

Previous to working in the Telecoms industry I spent 15 years working in systems design and development, primarily in sub Saharan Africa, serving as the development director for companies serving both the legal and financial markets. The client base included major banking groups, parastatals and several of the top law firms in Southern Africa.
