Ofcom publishes proposed Plan of Work for 2025/26

Ofcom published its proposed Plan of Work for 2025/26, outlining its areas of work for the next financial year.

The plan centres on four priorities, and outlines how Ofcom intends to meet these priorities:

  • Internet and post we can rely on - this includes the availability of high-quality networks and services; reliable and secure networkings and services; efficient and sustainable markets; and ensuring customers are treated fairly.
  • Media we trust and value - this includes ensuring audiences are protected from harm.
  • We live a safer life online - this includes stronger safety governance in online services; setting up the online safety regime for success; increased choice for users; and enhanced trust in the online world through greater transparency from platforms.
  • Enabling wireless in the UK economy - this includes assuring stakeholder access to spectrum; identifying and making spectrum available to meet evolving needs of sectors; and evolving spectrum management frameworks.
