Digital Inclusion Action Plan

This week, the Government released its long-awaited Digital Inclusion Action Plan. The plan outlines five actions to improve access to technology and the skills to use it effectively:

  1. A Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund (spring) to support local initiatives that increase digital participation

  2. Enhance support for the framework that helps people and businesses get the essential skills

  3. Pilot a proof-of-concept multi-department device donation scheme with the Digital Poverty Alliance

  4. Make government digital services easier to use

  5. Measure what works on digital inclusion and establish the economic and social value of upskilling adults with digital skills
