Comms Council UK Summer Forum and AGM

The annual Summer Forum and Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place this week in the offices of Osborne Clarke. The two resolutions were both passed at the AGM, and Rebecca Tate (TalkTalk Business) and Nick Holland (8x8) were re-elected onto the Board of Comms Council UK after the AGM approved the nominations.

There was a great turnout at the Summer Forum, where we heard interesting insights on current trends in the UCaaS and CPaaS markets, Ofcom’s consultation around CLI reform, and the state of play around telecoms security regulations. The keynote speech was given by Jeff Pulver, who shared his experiences of the sector as well as how blockchain and AI could help transform services provided to customers, and a concluding panel session covered several topics such as diversity and changing skill requirements in the industry.
