Thanks to all those who attended the ITSPA/Cavell Group dinner on Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) on 8th November. Mike Wilkinson, who has recently worked as a consultant for Cavell Group, began the session by providing an explanation of how CPaaS can be used in a real life context and gave an example of how it had been used in the medical technology sector. It was also explained that CPaaS may be particularly beneficial in the context of large, global high tech industries and also large enterprises such as parts of the public sector. A healthy debate on the opportunities provided by the technology then followed, with some questioning the speed of change in the market and whether the effect of technologies such as CPaaS will be felt immediately or further down the line. The event was a great success so look out for further ITSPA dinners and collaborative events with Cavell Group in 2017!
