Eli Katz, XConnect, Lifetime President of Comms Council UK

Eli is the founder and CEO of XConnect. He has led the strategic direction of the company since 2005 when it launched its Interconnection and Number Registry services, through to the Number Information Services the company provides today.

Eli is the co-founder and Chairman of Comms Council UK and is passionate about promoting competition and self-regulation in the industry, encouraging the development of a flourishing and innovative IP communications industry in the United Kingdom.

Before founding XConnect, Eli was Managing Director of Telco Global from its inception in 1996 to 2003. He was instrumental in driving the telecoms, Internet and mobile services provider’s rapid growth to one million customers and £250 million in annual revenue. He also was a key player in the IPO of Telco Global’s U.S. parent company.

He has a relentless drive to ensure quality and service excellence across the industry. He holds various patents in the USA, UK and Europe in the areas of Enum, fraud and number registry optimisations and was recognised in the 2009 Global Telecoms Business’s 40 under 40 Award.

Eli stood down as CCUK Chair after 20 years of service on 6th January 2025 and is now a Lifetime President of our organisation.
