The core message that fraud casues serious harm and tackling it requires collaboration across government, law enforcement, regulators and industry has been at the heart of the previous two Summits.

In 2027, we want to build on it, and go further by bringing in the victim’s perspective and sectors beyond telecoms.

The main focus will be on what has been achieved since the launch of the publication of the Fraud Stragety and the signing of the Fraud Charter – the succcesses that can serve as inspiration and as a model for other organisations – and what work remains to be done.

Last year, The Summit demonstrated that fraud does not respect sector boundaries. This year, we want to reinforce that and also highlight that the solutions have to cross sectors as well – outlining the progress made to ensure this is the case through the work of the Online Crime Centre and data-sharing initiatives, among others. The event will emphasise that the ambition continues to be to ensure that the solutions to fraud are as intertwined as our networks, and that a great deal remains to be done, bringing to light the gaps as well as progress.
