Fraud and Data-Sharing Workshop

On Friday 13 February, CCUK Chair Tracey Wright chaired a roundtable organised by CCUK and hosted by the Home Office bringing together a number of key stakeholders in the world of anti-fraud and data sharing.

As part of the Fraud Charter signed in November 2025, which establishes clear expectations for the

mobile and B2B voice sectors to improve the detection and prevention of fraudulent activity

and provide enhanced support for victims of fraud, CCUK committed to:

  • improve and expand cross-sector collaboration on intelligence sharing and technological solutions to combat fraud and protect businesses
  • work in partnership with law enforcement and industry partners to tackle criminal enablers, disrupting fraud at scale, underpinned by effective data sharing
  • maximise the impact of data sharing by partnering with established industry and cross- sector initiatives and enabling reciprocal arrangements where appropriate.

During the session, organisations shared their existing data-sharing mechanisms and the main challenges they face. Participants were able to identify common barriers and learn success stories that prove how effective the schemes can be.

As a result, a set of follow up actions were agreed and organisations will continue to collaborate together to coordinate cross-sector and effective responses to to broaden participation in data sharing for the purpose of disrupting fraud.
