UK bans the possession of Sim Farms

In the Government’s continual effort to combat fraud, Minister Lord Hanson announced that the UK is banning the possession and supply of the technical devices capable of holding multiple SIM cards known as “SIM farms”, which enable criminals to send mass texts and set up fake “verified” accounts.

The ban will come into effect six months after the passing of the Crime and Policing Bill (currently in Committee stage in the Commons).
