This year Comms Council UK celebrates 20th anniversary and our annual Summer Forum will include many surprises to mark the occassion.

15:40 - 16:40 Fraud Panel - This session opens with a case study from Trading Standards, showcasing how they collaborate with law enforcement, monitor activity, and share data to detect and prevent fraudulent behaviour. A panel discussion will follow, exploring how members can strengthen fraud prevention strategies through effective KYC checks, ongoing monitoring, and active participation in the Trading Standards scheme. Expect practical insights on staying compliant and safeguarding consumers in an evolving threat landscape.
16:40 - 17:00 Apprenticeships presentation & fireside chat with ITP - Charlotte Goodwill from ITP will kick off this session with an overview of their mission and the impact of apprenticeships across the industry. She’ll then be joined by Ralph, a current apprentice, who will share his personal experience as a mature learner and the opportunities apprenticeships have opened up for him. Together, they’ll explore how apprenticeships are supporting career development and skills growth. If available, the session may also feature an employer perspective, highlighting the business benefits of investing in apprentice talent.
